GLORIA, Oriental Mindoro – June 12, 2026 – Personnel of Gloria Municipal Police Station led by PMAJ FlORANTE M SUGIAN II, ACOP, actively participated in the celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day held in the Municipality of Gloria on June 12, 2026.
The commemorative event, initiated by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gloria under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Teresita M. Ong, carried the national theme, “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan,” highlighting the significance of freedom, the nation’s aspirations for the future, and the enduring lessons of history.
The program gathered various government agencies, civic organizations, and community stakeholders in a collective expression of patriotism and national pride. Joining the celebration were personnel from the Philippine Army and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), representatives from Bongabong Masonry Lodge No. 324, Barangay officials from all barangays of Gloria, and other partner stakeholders who continue to contribute to the municipality’s development and public service initiatives.
The event featured ceremonial activities that paid tribute to the sacrifices and heroism of the country’s forefathers who fought for Philippine independence. Through these commemorative activities, participants reflected on the importance of preserving the freedoms gained through generations of struggle while reaffirming their commitment to nation-building and public service.
