GLORIA, ORIENTAL MINDORO – Showcasing the power of unity, coordination, and collective action, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gloria successfully conducted the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) “Serbisyo Caravan” in Brgy. Malubay on May 13, 2026.

Spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and initiated by the LGU under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Teresita M. Ong, the caravan aimed to make government care and essential services directly accessible to local residents, with a special focus on reaching Indigenous People (IP) communities.

Actively participating in the initiative was the Gloria Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by Acting Chief of Police PMAJ Florante M. Sugian II. Joined by personnel from the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), the Gloria MPS provided on-the-ground assistance for residents wishing to secure or renew their National Police Clearance (NPC), effectively bringing vital law enforcement services closer to the people.

The caravan highlighted a unified government front in addressing community needs. Working alongside the PNP and the local departments of LGU Gloria were the Philippine Army’s 74th Infantry Battalion (74IB) led by LT. Jay Rald P. Policarpio, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) headed by SFO3 Robert Limbo.

Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Mr. Florentino R. Rodil emphasized the core mission of the RCSP during the event. According to Rodil, the primary objective of the program is to let the barangays feel the true presence and support of the government. He noted that delivering essential services and fostering meaningful community engagement are the most effective ways to end armed conflict and build lasting peace.

The meaningful activity was heavily supported by local leadership. Gracing the event alongside Mayor Ong were Vice-Mayor Hon. Wilfredo S. Condesa, the Sangguniang Bayan Members, and representatives from the office of Provincial Governor Humerlito A. Dolor.

Committed to sustaining this momentum of genuine public service, the Serbisyo Caravan is scheduled to visit Brgy. Banus on May 18, Brgy. Buong Lupa on May 25, and Brgy. Malamig on May 28.

The Gloria MPS and all participating national and local agencies remain steadfast in their mission to maintain peace and order while serving as active partners in community development—ensuring that no Gloriano is left behind.
