On May 11, 2026, PMAJ FLORANTE M SUGIAN II, Acting Chief of Police of Gloria MPS, officially launched the Project SOS (Save on Scan) QR Codes during the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony held in front of Gloria Municipal Hall at Brgy. Maligaya, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro.
The Project SOS (Save on Scan) is an initiative of Gloria Municipal Police Station aimed at strengthening public safety awareness and improving emergency response accessibility within the community. The QR Codes contain the emergency hotlines of Gloria MPS, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), allowing residents to quickly access important contact numbers during incidents and emergencies through their mobile devices.
During the launching activity, PMAJ SUGIAN emphasized the importance of preparedness, immediate communication, and community cooperation in ensuring public safety. He encouraged the public to save and utilize the QR Codes as a fast and convenient tool in reporting emergencies and seeking immediate assistance from concerned agencies.
The activity reflects the continuing commitment of Gloria MPS, in partnership with local government agencies, to promote responsive public service, disaster preparedness, and safer communities through the use of modern and accessible technology.
