GLORIA, Oriental Mindoro — The Gloria Municipal Police Station (MPS) received assorted search and rescue equipment valued at ₱150,000 today (May 26, 2026) from the Local Government Unit (LGU) under the leadership of Mayor Teresita M. Ong. The turnover was facilitated by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).
The donated materials were formally received by PMAJ Florante M. Sugian II, Acting Chief of Police of Gloria MPS, during a turnover ceremony attended by MDRRMO personnel and members of the local police force.
According to PMAJ Sugian, the equipment will greatly enhance the operational capability and disaster response readiness of the station, particularly during emergencies, calamities, and localized rescue operations.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Ong and the MDRRMO for their unwavering support of the police organization. He noted that the turnover reflects a strong, cooperative partnership between the LGU and law enforcement agencies, both working toward a shared goal of community safety and disaster preparedness.
With this new support, the Gloria MPS remains steadfast in its commitment to providing efficient public service and prompt response operations in line with its mandate to protect and serve the public.
