GLORIA, ORIENTAL MINDORO — The Gloria Municipal Police Station (Gloria MPS), led by PMAJ Florante M. Sugian II, actively participated in the District Blood Donation Drive conducted by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Gloria on July 28, 2026, at the Punzalan Gymnasium, Barangay Maligaya, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro.
The activity brought together various government agencies, non-government organizations, and community stakeholders in a collective effort to help augment the supply of safe blood for patients who may need emergency transfusions, surgical procedures, and other life-saving medical interventions.
During the program, PMAJ Sugian was among the personalities who delivered a message, emphasizing the importance of volunteerism, compassion, and collective responsibility in saving lives through blood donation.
“Ang pagbibigay ng dugo ay higit pa sa simpleng pagtulong. Ito ay isang konkretong paraan ng pagbibigay ng pag-asa at pagkakataong mabuhay sa ating kapwa. Sa bawat patak ng dugong ating ibinabahagi, maaari tayong maging bahagi ng isang buhay na maililigtas.”
He further encouraged members of the police force, government agencies, private organizations, and the community to continue supporting humanitarian activities that promote the welfare of others.
“Bilang mga lingkod-bayan, hindi lamang peace and order ang ating tungkulin. Bahagi rin ng ating responsibilidad ang maging kabahagi sa mga gawaing nagpapakita ng malasakit, pagkakaisa, at tunay na serbisyo sa ating komunidad. Ang dugo na ating ibinibigay ngayon ay maaaring maging buhay at pag-asa ng isang taong nangangailangan bukas.”
The participation of Gloria MPS in the blood donation drive reflects the Philippine National Police’s commitment to community-oriented policing and public service, demonstrating that police officers can contribute to the community not only through the protection of life and property but also through direct humanitarian service.
Gloria MPS likewise calls on the public to embrace the spirit of volunteerism and make blood donation a regular expression of concern for others.
